Alexandra Stein
United States

Alexandra is a third-year doctoral student in the Clinical Psychology PhD program at Fairleigh Dickinson University in New Jersey, United States. Broadly, her research aims to bridge the gap between scientific understanding and the lived experience of individuals with borderline personality disorder. As president of the ISSPD Student Section Committee, Alexandra is passionate about helping to facilitate a deeper understanding of personality disorders among students and trainees world-wide.

Glauco Valdivieso
Peru

Glauco is a psychiatrist and psychotherapist with a degree from the National University of San Marcos in Lima, Peru. He specializes in dialectical behavior therapy and has additional training in mentalization-based therapy and transference-focused psychotherapy. He is medical director of the Peruvian Institute for the Study and Comprehensive Approach to Personality (IPEP) and heads the mental health unit of the Villa El Salvador Emergency Hospital in Lima, Peru. Currently, he is pursuing a master’s degree in personality disorders from the Complutense University of Madrid. He is interested in personality and mood disorder research and has published in nationally and internationally indexed journals.

Antonia Muzard
Chile

Antonia is a clinical psychologist and psychotherapy PhD candidate at the Catholic Pontifical University of Chile with a master ‘s degree in social sciences from the University of Chicago. Her research investigates parental personality traits, emotion regulation, and psychopathology during the perinatal period and their relations with triadic interactions and infants’ socio-emotional development.

Nicolás L. Arocca
Chile

Nicolás is a clinical psychologist who graduated from the University of Los Andes, Chile. He has a Master of Science in clinical psychology from the University of Chile, and is currently pursuing his doctoral degree in psychotherapy at the Catholic Pontifical University of Chile. He received his certification as a TFP therapist from the International Society of Transference Focused Psychotherapy. He is interested in research on personalized personality disorder interventions and psychoeducation, including lived-experience support.

Benjamin Johnson

United States

Dr. Johnson is an assistant professor of clinical psychology at Fairleigh Dickinson University in New Jersey, United States. He received his Ph.D. in clinical psychology from The Pennsylvania State University working with Dr. Kenneth Levy studying personality disorders. His current research focuses on borderline personality disorder (BPD), with an emphasis on exploring hybrid models of BPD and the role of attachment and trauma in the development and display of BPD symptoms. He also provides psychotherapy for personality disorders using both transference focused psychotherapy and dialectical behavior therapy approaches.
